Workers at a Guinness plant in Ireland which was scheduled for closure, voted to accept a severance package that includes free beer for up to 10 years.

According to the terms of the deal, the 140 laid-off workers will each receive about two bottles of beer a day. The workers voted four-to-one in favour of the deal.

The beer company also put its money where its mouth is – the workers will also get lump sum payments ranging from $61,000 to $227,000.
