One-stop shopping labour site
Ottawa — The federal labour ministry has launched a one-stop-shop site that will contain comprehensive labour data from every province and territory. The site will provide access to information on workplace innovations, labour standards legislation and industrial relations. To access the Web site visit www.labour-info-travail.org/E_main.cfm.

Striking workers’ kids denied jobs
Toronto — Children of striking Petro-Canada workers who were promised summer co-op jobs had those offers revoked, according to employees and the union. According to Petro-Canada’s HR department, the summer co-op program was slashed in half to 50 students because of the strike. The union plans to file an unfair labour practice complaint.
