Workers in the offices of Citizenship and Immigration Canada in Sydney, N.S. have refused to return to work following the recent death of a mailroom supervisor. The supervisor died a few hours after opening a package that contained a brown, sandy substance.

Employees fear anthrax contamination

The offices were cleared on Nov. 7 pending an investigation into the supervisor’s death. Even though an autopsy revealed that he’d died of natural causes, only 25 of the 220 workers returned to work on Nov. 9. They say they won’t come back until tests have been done on the substance.
