Home Depot is planning to hire 10,000 additional seasonal workers in the United States for its key spring selling season, to support anticipated sales growth.
The home improvement retailer said it will hire 80,000 seasonal workers this year, 14 per cent or 10,000 more than it hired last year.
"We find some of our best associates during our peak season, and many of them have built long, meaningful careers with us," said Tim Crow, executive vice-president of HR at Home Depot.
Job opportunities range from part time to full time and are available on a market-by-market basis based on individual store needs and geographical variance in climate, said the chain.
For returning military and veterans interested in a position, Home Depot recently launched an Online Military Skills Translator, a new tool designed to help translate and match an applicant's unique military skills with positions that might offer the best fit.
