or five long Gruelling months last spring and summer, the 8,500 employees of Toronto’s Sunnybrook and Women’s College Health Sciences Centre were consumed by SARS.

It dominated everything they did, every minute of the day. It reached into their homes and on some days seemed ready to overwhelm them.
