Workplace injury rate drops in Alberta

Province had lowest injury rate since 1991 in 2003, but it's not all good news on the safety front

Alberta workers had their safest year in over a decade, according to the latest figures from the provincial government.

In 2003 there were 2.8 serious injuries per 100 full-time jobs, the lowest level since 1991, which is as far back as the current system records.

But there were still a high number of workplace deaths in the province.
