Middle management — finding the best and brightest online

The face of middle management has changed — and so has the face of business.

Business has accelerated and there’s no sign it will slow down anytime soon. Thus, the style and skill sets required of middle managers have changed dramatically. The emphasis is no longer weighted so heavily toward having years of experience.

In the current market, experience is relative to the business plan being implemented and the immediate requirements of that plan. In this scenario, a 28-year-old with just one year of direct and relevant experience is more sought-after than a 38-year-old with 10 years of indirect experience.
