HRPAO interim CEO takes the helm at Queen's IRC

Juniper named director of Industrial Relations Centre

Paul Juniper, a leading figure in Canada’s human resources community, is the new director of the Industrial Relations Centre at Queen's University in Kingston, Ont.

Queen’s Industrial Relations Centre (IRC) is a university-based management development unit for practitioners in industrial relations, human resource management and organization development.

Juniper has 25 years of experience in human resources and association leadership. He was the interim CEO of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario in 2005/2006. He manages a Toronto-based consultancy focusing on strategic planning and recruitment. He has taught in both college and university environments.

“I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity,” says Juniper. “The IRC holds a special place in people management training in Canada…. I’m looking forward to helping build the centre even further in its core areas of industrial relations and organizational development and leveraging its strengths into new areas.”

Juniper succeeds Carol Beatty, a Queen’s School of Business professor who completed her second five-year term on June 30. Juniper’s five-year term begins August 15.
