Job satisfaction beats money, security: Poll finds out what workers really want

Employees value challenging and fulfilling work over pay and career advancement, according to a new poll.

The online survey by career resources website found 53 per cent of respondents said, as employees, they most valued "challenging work that is fulfilling."

Only 27 per cent of the 4,721 respondents picked "financial gain and advancement" and 20 per cent placed a priority on job security.
