Salary increases lower than expected for 1,800 Nova Scotia civil servants

Managers, support staff will get less than the 2.9-per-cent increase for unionized workers

Non-unionized civil servants in Nova Scotia will be getting smaller raises than expected this year.

The province can't afford to give 1,800 managers and support staff the same 2.9-per-cent increase their unionized colleagues received, said the new NDP government.
