According to The Interviewer’s Edge online, the kiosks can replace paper applications and face-to-face first interviews. Potential job candidates fill out an electronic application, using a keyboard on the kiosk. By answering a series of basic questions, they do much of the screening themselves, because the computer can sort out those who are, for instance, under-age. Screened applications are automatically sent to the appropriate department manager.
