Jobs in the pharmaceutical industry top the list of happiest jobs for working moms, according to a new survey.

Jobs that allowed for a flexible schedule and the option to work from home — as in pharmaceutical sales positions — garnered some of the highest ratings for work happiness in female employees, found the survey, which was conducted by CareerBliss, an organization in the United States focused on improving job satisfaction.

Ranking just below pharmaceutical jobs are biotechnology jobs, which include engineers, researchers and area sales managers. Administrative or clerical jobs ranked third with women in this job type saying having a senior manager who supported their family life was a large factor in their overall happiness.

Companies that allow employees to work a typical schedule but with the option of flexible hours to provide for things such as doctor appointments, childcare and other family needs were the most desirable, found the survey, which compiled data from 60,000 female employee reviews.
