Salary budget increases in Canada are expected to rise to by an average of 3.1 per cent in 2013, according to a WorldatWork survey.
The average actual salary budget increase was three per cent in 2012, representing no change from one year ago, according to the survey of 417 employers.
By industry, salary budget increases are expected to be highest for mining and oil and gas extraction (4.1 per cent), construction (3.7 per cent), utilities (3.5 per cent) and health care and social assistance (both 3.4 per cent).
