Head nurses, supervisors among 20 fastest growing jobs

Production clerks, lawyers, engineers also on list: Study

Production clerks and head nurses and supervisors are among the fastest growing jobs for 2013, according to a study released by CareerBuilder and Economic Modeling Specialists (EMSI).

Looking at the occupations with the most jobs added since 2010, the study draws from a range of sources including census and demographic data from Statistics Canada and employment data gathered by provincial governments.

“Hiring in Canada is expected to outpace last year as employers focus on growing their businesses and meeting greater market demand,” said Brent Rasmussen, president of CareerBuilder North America. “While employers remain watchful over factors impacting the global economy, we see more job opportunities opening up in everything from health care and information technology to trucking and manufacturing.”

Below are the 20 occupations that have added the most jobs over the last two years and are expected to continue in 2013:
