Mr. Lube mechanic gets in trouble on Twitter

Worker apparently fired after advertising for marijuana

A Toronto mechanic has apparently been fired from his position at Mr. Lube after advertising on Twitter that he was looking for someone to deliver marijuana to him at his place of work.

Sunith Baheerathan asked any dealers to deliver “a spliff or two to help me last this open to close” but his request was soon followed by a tweet from York Regional Police saying: “Awesome! Can we come too?”

The police force also brought the tweet to the attention of Baheerathan’s employer, which subsequently fired him, according to media reports.

Mr. Lube later tweeted: “Thank you to the York Regional Police for your help and great work. The matter has now been handled.”
