Fifty-three employers recognized for healthy, engaged, productive workforce

ADP Canada, Shaw Communications and Nestlé Canada are among the 53 employers on the list of Employee Recommended Workplaces for 2018.
These organizations have achieved high standards for healthy workplaces, as reported by their employees, according to Morneau Shepell and the Globe and Mail.
The awards recognize excellence in achieving a healthy, engaged and productive workforce, and are based on feedback from employees. Employees were asked to complete a confidential survey that includes questions about their physical and mental health, as well as aspects of their work and life. On completion, they received a personal assessment that identified potential areas for improvement.
Organizations received a summary report that identified areas of strength and areas where more work may be needed to improve the health of their workforce.
“Organizations that ensure their employees’ health is a top priority see a positive return on productivity, engagement and improved business results,” said Stephen Liptrap, president and CEO of Morneau Shepell.
