24 people apply for unpaid position with unlimited hours

This may have been the least effective recruitment campaign in the history of HR — a job ad that was viewed about 2.7 million times, but only got 24 applicants. (Scroll down to see the video of some of the interviews for the job, and for the reveal about what the job entails. Though, there's a good chance you might be able to guess it.)

The job title was director of operations at Rehtom. The hours? Full-time, 24/7 on call. Requirements included:

• Working 135 hours to unlimited hours per week

• A workload that increases on major holidays

• Willingness to forgo any breaks

• Work mostly standing up and/or bending down

• Unlimited patience

The salary? Zero.

Benefits? No health or dental, no pensions, no paid holidays.
