Dalhousie University, High Liner Foods, Irving make list of top employers in Atlantic Canada

Companies rated on 8 criteria, including work atmosphere, benefits, T&D

Dalhousie University, High Liner Foods, IMP Group and Irving Oil are among the 25 companies that placed on the 2013 Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers list by Mediacorp.

Now entering its fifth year, the competition is organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes the employers in Canada's four Atlantic provinces that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

“It's a unique project for us because this competition extends across four provinces — the only one of its kind in Canada,” said Mediacorp.

Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
