When you’re flipping through candidates’ LinkedIn profiles, you may start to notice some striking similarities.
Certain buzzwords and phrases feature so prominently on so many profiles that LinkedIn Wednesday released a list of the top offenders.
The top 10 most overused buzzwords for 2014 in Canada include:
1. passionate
2. motivated
3. creative
4. driven
5. extensive experience
6. organizational
7. strategic
8. problem solving
9. analytical
10. communications skills
For a stronger profile, LinkedIn suggests providing examples to illustrate your work and skills, writing a strong headline, using a professional profile picture, listing skills and volunteer experience and getting recommendations from others.
