Caroline Tapp-McDougall is the chair of Canada Cares, a new, not-for-profit organization created to raise awareness and support for family caregivers. She is the author of The Complete Canadian Eldercare Guide, the editor of Caregiver Solutions and Today’s Kids, Canadian magazines dedicated to family caregiving and a number of professional journals and websites for health professionals. She has extensive speaking experience in the areas of health, wellness and aging.
On the caregiving front, Caroline provided care for her mother Margaret for 11½ years after she suffered a stroke. Caroline also cared for her father who had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
