COS magazine joins our ranks (Editor’s Note)

Teaming Canadian Occupational Safety magazine with Canadian HR Reporter a winning combination

It’s a powerful combination — Canadian Occupational Safety (COS) magazine, the premier publication for health and safety professionals, has joined ranks with Canadian HR Reporter, the national journal of human resource management.

Carswell, a Thomson Reuters business, announced the purchase of COS from Annex Publishing and Printing earlier this month.

The move strengthens an already deep lineup of workplace-related publications from the Carswell Media Group, including Canadian HR Reporter, Canadian Employment Law Today, Canadian Labour Reporter, Canadian Payroll Reporter and Canadian Safety Reporter.

Canadian HR Reporter and COS have a rich history. We’ve been covering the workplace for a combined 75 years — 2012 marks the 25th anniversary of Canadian HR Reporter and the 50th anniversary of COS.

In addition to the print and digital editions, which are published six times per year, COS also has a dynamic daily online presence and it presents the prestigious Canada’s Safest Employers Awards annually, a program that recognizes companies doing an exemplary job in promoting the health and safety of workers.
