Lululemon most popular workplace with students on LinkedIn

Ubisoft, Facebook, Holt Renfrew, Aritzia also in top 10

Lululemon athletica is the most desirable workplace for students among mid-sized companies in Canada, according to LinkedIn.

In looking at student activity on LinkedIn — including job search behaviour, the companies they follow and their views on company pages and member profiles — it found the athletic apparel company came out on top.

Rounding out the list in Canada are Ubisoft, Facebook, Holt Renfrew, Cossette, Aritzia, Labatt, Nexen, Mosaic and CBC.

Globally, Google was the most popular workplace for students among large companies, according to LinkedIn’s research:

Students and recent graduates are the fastest growing demographic on LinkedIn, accounting for more than 20 million of its members. To engage talent, LinkedIn offered the following tips for recruiters and hiring managers:

•Turn new hires into recruiting ambassadors. Help them set up strong LinkedIn profiles that reflect your brand. Encourage them to share job openings in their college alumni groups on LinkedIn.

•Launch a LinkedIn group for new graduates and interns. Use it to share career advice, insights on your company culture and new opportunities.

•Synchronize your online and offline efforts. Use LinkedIn Events to drive attendance; and include links to your group and LinkedIn career page in your email signature.
