The National HR Awards is heading into its fourth year of honouring the best in human resources, and Canadian HR Reporter is excited to announce this year’s gala will be bigger and better than ever before.
“When we founded the awards in 2015, we decided to make it an editorial feature,” said Todd Humber, publisher and editor-in-chief of Canadian HR Reporter. “We wanted to put the focus on telling in-depth stories of the winners, through video and text, to share the best HR practices with our readers. We opted for substance over style, and it was incredibly successful.”
But by year three, it was clear there was a big appetite among the winners to not only share their stories but also to gather and celebrate in person. In 2017, a gala cocktail reception was held at the Arcadian Court in Toronto — attended by more than 120 people including representatives from all the winning organizations across Canada.
For 2018, a decision was made to move beyond a cocktail reception and into a full gala dinner. On Sept. 27, professionals from across the country will gather at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton in downtown Toronto to celebrate the event.
“We are thrilled to be able to host this event at such an incredible venue,” said Humber. “It’s going to be an amazing night of networking, celebrating the best human resources practices and hearing from the winners themselves on stage. It will be the can’t miss event of the year.”
Nominations for the National HR Awards are now open, and close on June 15. For more information visit www.nationalhrawards.com. The website also features the stories of all of the past winners, including in-depth articles and videos that bring the stories to life.
