Is it time to add a senior HR designation?

New survey takes the pulse of profession

The idea of adding a senior HR designation has been discussed for some time. There are different ideas floating around. Some approaches see a senior designation as recognition for past achievements in HR; others see a designation anchored in a yet to be defined set of senior HR competencies.

Canadian HR Reporter

and the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) of Ontario would like HR professionals across the country to weigh in on the issue in the third Pulse Survey.

The response to the first two Pulse Surveys was exceptional — more than 1,000 HR professionals answered each survey, which asked respondents where they the profession is going and if the bar needs to be raised for the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation.
