Managing Substance Abuse in the Workplace
This course is designed for Managers, Designated Employer Representatives (DER’s), Human Resources Professionals and others who are directly involved with the complex implementation and or maintenance of their Substance Abuse Prevention Policy.
The course goes beyond the basic understanding of drug abuse and focuses in on policy needs, human rights issues, case law, testing standards and legal boundaries. Signs & Symptoms are discussed with appropriate intervention strategies. Case study scenarios will focus on policy content and positive test procedures. Attendees will learn the steps to implementing a new policy and/or how to support their current program with best practices.
