Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2018, to April 30, 2021. Ratified on June 18, 2018. Signed on June 19, 2018.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for shift work between noon and 4 a.m. for minimum of 2 consecutive work days.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 10% vacation pay included on weekly pay.
Overtime: On 5X8 shift: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day, double time after 12 hours. On 4X10 shift: Time and one-half for work after 10 hours per day, double time after 12 hours. Time and one-half for all work on Saturday, Sunday, double time after 12 hours. All employees must have worked 40 hours to be eligible for overtime.
Meal allowance: Employer will provide hot meal when employees work extended hours in excess of 11 hours. Employer will pay $40 when hot meal is not possible.
Medical benefits: Employer will make contributions to Alberta Carpenters and Allied Workers Health and Wellness Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parents, spouse’s parents, children, siblings, spouse’s siblings, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, spouse).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $125 per year) for CSA-approved safety boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide employees, on as-needed basis, with fire-retardant coveralls, CSA-approved hardhat, safety glasses, appropriate gloves and other PPE such as disposable coveralls, respirators and cartridges, rubber boots at no cost to employee.

Start rate: $24.19 rising 2 steps to $25.04
1 year: $26.34 rising 2 steps to $27.19
Maintenance worker 2
Start rate: $26.20 rising 2 steps to $27.12
1 year: $28.35 rising 2 steps to $29.27
Maintenance worker foreman
Start rate: $28.82 rising 2 steps to $29.83
1 year: $31.18 rising 2 steps to $32.19
