Renewal agreement: Effective May 3, 2021 to May 2, 2022. Signed on June 14, 2021.
Shift premium: $0.40 per hour for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. $0.55 per hour for all hours worked between 12:01 a.m. and 8 a.m. for full-time and full-time floater employees (shifts commencing between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. will not be entitled to midnight-shift premium). Employer will have option of giving necessary time off with pay or giving employee opportunity to work at time and one-half when employee completes period of work that would not allow 8 hours off duty before start of next scheduled shift. Minimum of 4 hours at higher rate (if employee works at higher rate for more than 4 hours, employee will be paid higher rate for whole shift) if employee works at classification of higher rate for more than 2 hours. $1 per hour if employer requires any member of fueling staff to utilize class 1 driver licence during daily duties; $0.25 per hour if employer requires any member of fueling staff to utilize class 3Q driver licence during daily duties. $1 per hour for facility person who have successfully completed training in automotive repair; $0.25 per hour for facility person who have successfully completed 1 year of automotive maintenance apprenticeship program; $0.50 per hour for facility person who have successfully completed 2 years of automotive maintenance apprenticeship program; $0.75 per hour for facility person who have successfully completed 3 years of automotive maintenance apprenticeship program; $1.50 per hour for facility person who have successfully completed training in heavy duty maintenance.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of employment, maximum 10 days or 4%, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked immediately prior to or immediately following regularly established shift, and which is greater than 8 hours per day. Time may be banked, maximum equivalent to 2 weeks of pay. Banked amounts may be carried from 1 year to next. Employee may request employer to transfer banked balance (or portion thereof) to RRSP of their choice (maximum once per year).
Medical benefits: Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan. Employer pays between 55% of premiums and 70% of premiums, based on years of service.
Pension: Employer will contribute $1.15 per hour to Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 40 hours for death in immediate family (wife (includes common-law, same-sex), husband (includes common-law, same-sex), son (includes stepson), daughter (includes stepdaughter)). 4 days for death in family (father, mother, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, grandchildren, any relative of employee who resides with employee). Additional 5 days off, without pay, may be given should additional time off be required for travel arrangements.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months from date of layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours of work. However, should employee choose to leave of own volition after completion of duties called in for, employee will be paid minimum of 2 hours of pay at applicable overtime rates. Paid at time and one-half for work greater than 40 hours per week.
Probationary period: Ends after 120 calendar days and successful application and receipt of restricted area identification card (RAIC). Maximum time to complete probationary period will be 30 working days after receipt of RAIC or 180 days, whichever comes first.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for all forms of discipline or letters of expectation.
Safety shoes: $160 per year (previously $150 per year) for approved footwear, after 1 year of service. Unused allowances will carry over for 1 additional year, maximum $300.
Uniforms/clothing: Protective clothing will be supplied by employer consisting of raincoats, rain pants and noise suppressors. 4 pairs of appropriate protective gloves will be issued in spring for summer use; 3 pairs of appropriate protective gloves with liners will be issued in fall for winter use. Once each 2 years, employer will provide following options to full-time employees at no cost: 3 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, 4 sets of coveralls or 5 pairs of pants, 7 shirts and no coveralls or 7 sets of coveralls. Part-time employees will be issued with 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts or 3 sets of coveralls. Employer will supply 1 spring/fall jacket replaced every 36 months. mutually acceptable winter parka will be fully paid for by employer and replaced every 24 months upon return of previous issue. If employee chooses to purchase insulated coveralls rather than winter parka, employer will reimburse employee for purchase up to purchase price of parkas in that year. Employer will pay for dry cleaning parkas used at work, maximum 2 times per year.
Tool allowance: Tool insurance covering fire and theft of $5,000 per person, with $100 deductible, will be provided by employer.
Mileage: $0.45, including GST, per kilometre when employees use own vehicles to provide transportation while on company business or who provide transportation to or from work at locations other than Calgary airport.
