Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 1, 2014, to Nov. 30, 2019. Signed on Oct. 22, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective December 2014: 2.5%
Effective December 2015: 2.5%
Effective December 2016: 2.5%
Effective December 2017: 2.75%
Effective December 2018: 3%

Shift premium: 55¢ per hour when a regularly scheduled shift starts between 1:30 p.m. and 9:29 p.m. 65¢ per hour effective Dec. 1, 2017. 65¢ per hour when a regularly scheduled shift started between 9:30 p.mm. and 5:29 a.m. 75¢ per hour effective Dec. 1, 2017.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month worked to a maximum of 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years and 4 weeks after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half.

Meal allowance: 30 minute paid meal break after 2 hours of overtime.

Medical benefits: Employer covers 55% of costs to start, 60% of costs after 2 years, 65% of costs after 4 years, 70% of costs after 5 years and 80% of costs after 10 years. 85% of costs after 10 years effective Dec. 1, 2016. 90% of costs after 10 years effective Dec. 1, 2017.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s husband, wife, son or daughter. 4 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, spouse’s grandparent or grandchild.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.

Probationary period: 90 days.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for documented verbal warnings and written letters of warning. 18 months for suspension.

Safety shoes: $120 for employee’s with 1 year of service. $130 for employee with 3 years of service. $140 for employees with 5 years of service. $150 for employees with 10 years of service.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides protective clothing, including raincoats, rain pants, noise suppressors and leather gloves.

Mileage: 50¢ per km.

Sample rates of pay (current, after 2.5% increase):
Full-time fuellers: $12.35 rising in 5 steps to $14.65
Full-time utility: $12.35 rising in 5 steps to $14.65
Full-time facility: $16.92 rising in 5 steps to $18.17
Part-time facility: $16.31 rising in 5 steps to $17.56

Editor’s notes: Parking: If the employer is unable to provide parking facilities for employees, parking fees at the airport authority parking facilities will be paid for by the employer. Personal days: 2 days per year. 3 days per year effective Dec. 1, 2017.
