Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2016, to May 31, 2019. Signed on April 3, 2017.
Shift premium: $1 per hour for training new HCA/PSW and dietary employees and trainer is not designated as extra. $1 per hour for employee designated as trainers in housekeeping/laundry, maintenance and recreation departments. $0.40 per hour for work on evening or night shift. $0.30 per hour (previously $0.25 per hour) for hours worked between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Sunday. Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $0.35 per hour. $1.25 per hour to employees whose workload is increased when another employee who is scheduled does not report for work and is not replaced. $10 per shift for RPN who supervises 2 floors due to lack of registered staff. $1 per hour when employer temporarily assigns employee to carry out responsibilities of department head. $10 per shift “in charge” premium when registered practical nurse assumes responsibilities of unit supervisor or shift supervisor. $0.20 per hour for employee who is qualified as physiotherapy aid or occupational therapy aide and works as either recreation aide or health-care aide/PSW.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 2 floating holidays. 
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 7 days or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 23 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 28 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for dental plan equivalent to Blue Cross #9. Maximum $2,000 per person per year. 
Vision: $250 every 24 months (previously $200 every 24 months). Effective June 1, 2018: $300 every 24 months.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of salary for weeks 18 through 35.
Sick leave: 22 1/2 hours after probationary period is done. Additional 7 1/2 days per month, maximum 105 hours.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $20,000 coverage.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $25,000 coverage (previously $20,000).
Pension: CLAC Pension Plan. Employer contributes 4% per employee per paycheque, employee contributes 4% to plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child. 4 days for death of parent, brother, sister, grandchild. 3 days for death of grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 1 day for spring interment.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours pay.
Probationary period: 450 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Kitchen staff will be provided with aprons. Uniform allowance: Full-time: $13 per month; part-time: $7 per month.

Dietary aide/housekeeping laundry aide: $18.91 rising 5 steps to $19.55
Cook: $20.11 rising 5 steps to $20.88
Registered practical nurse: $26.09 rising 2 steps to $26.83
Student: $13.04 rising 2 steps to $13.40
Editor’s notes: Certificates: When employer requires sick-leave certificate, medical note or functional abilities employer will reimburse employee, maximum $60. Union education and training fund: Employer will pay $0.02 per hour per employee to fund. Seniority payment: All employees who reach 15,000 hours of seniority will receive one-time payment of $100. Perfect attendance: All employees who achieve perfect attendance will be entered into pool and will be eligible to share $1,000.
