Beverage sector workers at AquaTerra achieve new contract

The United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW) Canada, Local 501 members working as production-line operators and forklift-truck operators at AquaTerra in Nicolet, Que. ratified a new collective agreement on Oct. 17.

Under the terms of the new contract, members at AquaTerra built on their previous collective agreement with salary increases of two per cent per year, a two per cent signing bonus and two additional days of paid family leave, says the union.

“This new contract ensures that members Aquaterra maintain and improve their working conditions,” says Daniel Nadeau, UFCW 501 director for Eastern Quebec.
