Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2017. Signed on Nov. 29, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective 2016: 1.5%
Effective 2017: 1.5%
Shift premium: $1 per hour when majority of shift hours are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $3 every 2 weeks for full-time employees wearing a uniform while on duty, $1.50 for part-time employees.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 7 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 12 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 30 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours after 8 hours per day. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a holiday or Sunday. 
Medical benefits: Employer will pay 100% of costs for Ontario Hospital Insurance Commission.
Vision: $250 (previously $200) every 2 years.
Sick leave: One-half day per month, maximum 250 days. 50% for employees with 5 years’ service, ending employment with the employer. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance plan for first $25,000 in coverage. Employee pays 100% of premiums for subsequent coverage. 
Pension: Employees will be enrolled in the Ontario Municipal Employees' Retirement System. 
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of current spouse, same-sex partner, common-law spouse, fiancé, child, stepchild. 3 days for death of parent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent, spouse’s grandparent, grandchildren, stepmother, stepfather, second-degree relative residing in the household. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle. 1 day to attend life service, memorial service, burial, interment that is delayed or postponed.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at overtime rates.
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Tool allowance: Employer will provide tools and equipment for all maintenance employees.
Mileage: $0.45 per kilometre.

Editor’s notes: Preferred shifts: After 30 years of full-time service with the employer, employee will be entitled to request that she be scheduled on a Monday to Friday basis. Standby pay: $2.10 per hour for all hours designated as standby hours. Long-service pay: After 5 years, $80; after 10 years, $150; after 15 years, $220; after 20 years, $290; after 25 years, $360; after 30 years, $430. Will be paid Nov. 30 of each year. Hearing aids: Maximum $500 lifetime.
