Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 2, 2017, to Jan. 31, 2019. Signed on March 31, 2017.
Shift premium: Lead hand: 7.5% (minimum of journeyman rate). Foreman: 12 per cent (minimum of journeyman rate). Steward: $0.50 per hour. Steward with tool box 1: $0.75 per hour. Steward with tool box 2: $1 per hour. Steward with tool box 3: $1.25 per hour. Chief steward with tool box 1: $1.50 per hour. Chief steward with tool box 2: $1.75 per hour. Chief steward with tool box 3: $2 per hour. Night shift (majority of shift hours between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. ): $2 per hour. Project-designated responder with first aid ticket with CPR: $0.25 per hour.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 6% on each paycheque. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Gold Plus Insurance Plan administered by CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
Dental: Basic services: 100% up to $2,000 per person per year. Comprehensive: 50% up to $2,000 per person per year. Orthodontic: 50% up to $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19.
Vision: Younger than 21: $300 per year; older than 21: $300 every two years.
STD: 60% weekly earnings maximum $600 per week, maximum 119 days.
LTD: 60% of earnings, maximum $2,600 per month, payable after 119 days 
AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.
Pension: Employer contributes to union-sponsored group RSP.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, father, mother, brother, sister, legal guardian, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 3 months. 
Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employees.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide for cleaning of employer-supplied fire-retardant coveralls.
Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre.

Editor’s notes: Travel allowances: Employees whose permanent place of residence is within zone 2 will receive allowance of $0.50 per kilometre travelled based from employee’s residence to zone 1 radius line and back to employee’s residence. Employees whose permanent place of residence is within zone 3 will receive allowance of minimum $125 per day or single-occupancy camp accommodations or single-occupancy hotel room with kitchenette. Training-time compensation: Time spent attending fall-arrest course will be paid, maximum 8 hours per day per course for employees who have been employed for 6,000 hours. Prescription safety eyewear: Employer will reimburse employee cost of prescription safety glasses, maximum $300.
