Renewal agreement: Effective June 18, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. Ratified on June 15, 2017. Signed on Dec. 4, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.60 per hour for employees required to work split shifts. $0.75 per hour for all hours worked on night shift that includes at least 4 hours between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. $1.50 per hour for union employees relieving non-union positions. $1.25 per hour for housing/retail worker relieving housekeeping coordinator. $1.25 per hour for journeyman cook or non-journeyman cook relieving first cook. $1.25 per hour for kitchen worker relieving dining-room coordinator. $2 per hour for all hours spent conducting training.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: For employees hired before June 15, 2017: 2 weeks to start (with 6 months of service), 3 weeks after 3 years. For employees hired after June 15, 2017: 2 weeks to start (with 6 months of service), 3 weeks after 4 years.  
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day, on Sunday or on scheduled day off. 
Meal allowance: Meals will be provided by employer for all employees at no cost to employees, but only for working days.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $2.15 per hour for every bargaining unit hour worked for health and welfare plan to include: group life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, vision care, extended health care, prescription coverage, Alberta health care, dental care, short-term disability. Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums. 
Pension: Employer will contribute $3.50 per hour worked to RRSP for eligible employees before June 15, 2017. For employees hired after June 15, 2017: Employer will match employee contributions to voluntary matching RRSP, maximum 5%.
Bereavement leave: Maximum 7 days (3 days paid) for death in immediate family (spouse, life-partner, mother, father, brother, sister, children, stepchild, stepparents, stepsister, stepbrother, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren).
Seniority – recall rights: 210 days.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at overtime rate. 
Probationary period: 60 days worked (previously 90 days employed).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide safety supplies, articles of clothing and footwear which are deemed by law or company policy to be necessary for employee’s safety and health. Employer will provide winter clothing, winter footwear to employees required to work outside on continuous basis. Employer will supply suitable seasonal-protective clothing for unloading of supplies.

Editor’s notes: Education fund: Employer will contribute $0.15 for each hour worked in bargaining unit to United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401 Education and Training Fund. Building trades fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 for each hour worked in bargaining unit to United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401 for Building Trades or Alberta Federation of Labour dues assessment. Travel subsidy: $325 per month for employees hired before June 15, 2017; $200 per month for employees hired after June 15, 2017.
