Local represents 163 employees
Members of the former Pepsico Employees’ Association overwhelmingly ratified their first contract as Unifor Local 1410, according to the union.
“We have an agreement that we’re all proud of, with wage gains and much stronger language regarding health and safety, job security and seniority rights,” said Val Walker, president of Unifor, Local 1410.
This is the first set of negotiations since the former Pepsico Beverages Employees’ Association merged with Unifor in April 2015. The local represents 163 workers at the Calgary facility.
