Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2016, to Aug. 31, 2018. Signed on Sept. 15, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
1st year: 1%
2nd year: 1%
Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for night shift. $1.50 per hour for weekend shift. 
Paid holidays: 12 days. Double time and one-half for holiday work. 
Vacations with pay: Full-time 80 hours, part-time 60 hours after 1 year; full-time 160 hours, part-time 120 hours after 3 years; full-time 200 hours, part-time 150 hours after 5 years; full-time 240 hours, part-time 180 hours after 8 years. Casual 4% to start, 6% after 5 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours after 40 per week. 
Medical benefits: AUMA Group Benefits.
Dental: 100% premiums paid by employer.
Sick leave: Full-time 120 hours per year, part-time 90 hours. 50% of unused sick leave credits paid to employee (minimum 5 years’ service) upon retirement. 
LTD: 100% premiums paid by employee.
AD&D: 100% premiums paid by employer.
Life insurance: 100% premiums paid by employer.
Pension: Group RRSP program. $50 per month contribution by employee. Employer contributes $300 per year for employees with less than 3 years’ service, $500 per year for 3 years’ service, $1,000 per year for 8 years’ service.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, parent, grandparent, foster child, adopted child, sibling, stepchild, stepparent, grandchild). 3 days (5 days if employee is primary caregiver) for death in extended family (father-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle). 2 extra days if burial outside Alberta, 3 days if outside Canada.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Overtime rate or 3 hours’ pay, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 480 hours. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.

Editor’s notes: Criminal checks: Regular criminal checks are a condition of continued employment. The cost of criminal checks will be reimbursed, but not to new employees and are a condition of hire. Training costs: Employees will be reimbursed for the cost of or provided with recertification at no cost for required CPR, first aid, applied suicide intervention and prevention training qualifications. Health-spending account: Employer contributes $700 per year ($450 for part-time) to employee’s health spending account. Personal wellness days: 4 days per year with pay for personal wellness. Service bonus: 8 years: $3,000. 10 years: $4,000. 15 years: $5,000. 20 years: $6,000. 25 years $7,000.
