Renewal agreement: Effective March 21, 2021 to March 20, 2022. Ratified in April 2021. Signed on May 6, 2021. 

Wage adjustments:  

Effective March 21, 2021: 2% 

Paid holidays: 9 days. 

Vacations with pay: 0.833 days per month to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.  

Overtime: Time and one-half for authorized work exceeding 44 hours in 1 week or any work performed on paid holiday. 

Medical benefits: Full-time employees earn health spending account of $750 per calendar year, accumulated at rate of $62.50 per full month of active service. Part-time employees, other than casual employees, earn health spending account of $500 per calendar year, accumulated at rate of $42 per full month of active service. Includes employee’s spouse or partner, dependent children, disabled children of any age who are financially dependent. 

Sick leave: 4 paid days and 1 paid mental health day per calendar year for full-time employees; 2 paid days and 1 paid mental health day per calendar year for part-time employees. 

Pension: Employer matches employee contribution to RRSP program up to 0.5% of earnings after 3 years of service and 1% of earnings after 5 years of service. 

Bereavement leave: 4 paid days for death of spouse or partner, parent, stepparent, legal guardian, sibling, stepsibling, child, grandparent, grandchild, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, child of partner. 1 paid day for death of niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, relative permanently residing with employee. 1 day may be saved for delayed funeral or interment. Employees may request additional time off without pay if travel time is needed and will be granted at employer’s discretion. 

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff. 3 months for casual employee who is inactive. 

Probationary period: 6 months. 

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for minor offenses and 24 months for medical errors or suspensions. 

Mileage: $0.47 per kilometre for employee-owned automobiles used in carrying out of employee’s duties. Employees will be reimbursed by employer for all authorized travel costs properly incurred in performance of duties.
