Renewal agreement: Effective from April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2018. Signed on March 10, 2016. 
Wage adjustments: 
As of April 1, 2016: 1.25%
As of April 1, 2017: 1.3%
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 20 days per year. After 10 years, 1 additional working day of vacation for each additional year of completed service up to an aggregate of 30 working days.
Overtime: For all hours worked between the 36th and 44th hours per week inclusive, 1 hour of compensatory time for each such hour of overtime. For all hours worked beyond 44 hours per week, one-and-one-half hours of compensatory time for each such hour of overtime.
Medical benefits: The employer pays 100% of the premiums applicable for single and family group insurance coverage for all eligible employees. Health spending account $1,000. Drug coverage for prescription drugs on the first $5,000 of eligible expenses: 100% coverage for generic drugs, 75 per cent coverage for brand name drugs. Where medically necessary, employees would be provided with 100% coverage of brand name drugs.
Dental: Coverage for basic dental at 100% co-insurance and crowns and/or orthodontic at 60% to an annual maximum of: $2,500; April 1, 2017: $2,700.
Vision: Every 2 years for adults or every 12 months if there has been a change in prescription only, and every year for each child with 100% co-insurance or for laser eye surgery to a maximum not to exceed $500. Benefits for the cost of annual eye examinations shall be provided up to $80 with 100% co-insurance.
Paramedical: Include services by registered acupuncturist, dietician, naturopath, massage therapist, social worker, psychologist, chiropractor, osteopath, podiatrist/chiropodist, speech therapist, physiotherapist and homoeopathic services to a maximum of $800 per year per practitioner.
Sick leave: 5 days at 100% of current salary. 95 days at 66 2/3% of current salary.
LTD: The employer shall purchase and maintain premiums for an LTD based on 66 2/3% pay commencing after 150 calendar days (equivalent to 100 working days) of continuous illness.
AD&D: The employer pays 100% of the premiums applicable for single and family group insurance coverage for all eligible employees.
Life insurance: Group life insurance at an amount equal to two-and-one-half times annual salary.
Pension: Mandatory membership in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS).
Bereavement leave: 5 days with pay for death of employee’s husband, wife, spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, child or parent, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, godparents, godchildren, person “in loco parentis”, significant other.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Severance: 2 weeks’ salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of 26 weeks.
Mileage: $0.51. Effective April 1, 2017: $0.52

Editor’s notes: Family leave: Up to 8 days per year for matters associated with close family members (child, parent, spouse, significant other). Compassionate care leave: Up to 8 days without pay per year to care for a gravely ill or dying child, parent or spouse. Pregnancy leave: 17 weeks for the child-bearing mother. Parental leave: 35 weeks for both parents or the mother after pregnancy leave or 37 weeks if no pregnancy leave was taken. 52 weeks for either or both parents in the case of adoption. Orthotics: $450 (previously $300). Hearing aids: $1,500 every 2 years. April 1, 2017: $2,000 every 2 years. Retiree benefits: $2,300 per year; April 1, 2017: $2,400. Recognition: 1 week’s leave of absence with pay after 20 years of service; 2 weeks after 25 years; 3 weeks after 30 years; 4 weeks after 35 weeks; 5 weeks after 40 years.
