Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 16, 2015, to Aug. 15, 2018. Signed on Nov. 4, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective Aug. 15, 2016: 30¢
Effective Aug. 15, 2017: 35¢

Shift premium: 25¢ per hour for all time worked during the midnight shift. 15¢ per hour for all time worked during the afternoon shift.

Paid holidays: 8 days. Double time for all hours worked on a paid holiday.

Vacations with pay: 0.833 days per month of service to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 6 years, 4 weeks after 10 years and 5 weeks after 20 years.  

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday. Double time for all hours worked on Sunday.

Medical benefits: Employer will reimburse drivers up to $125 per year for medical exams.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for preventative or diagnostic procedures. Employer pays 80% of premiums for routine restorative procedures. Employer pays 50% of major restorative procedures. Preventative, diagnostic and routine restorative procedures are subject to a $50 deductable.

Vision: Maximum benefit for employees is $370 ever 2 years. The family member benefit is $300 every 2 years.

Paramedical: Employer pays 50% of premiums for chiropractic, physiotherapy or massage therapy to a maximum of $500 per year.

Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for benefit. Part-time employees not eligible for the weekly indemnity benefit. 66 2/3% of weekly earnings rounded to the next higher $1 to a maximum of $1,000. Payments commence after the elimination period of 3 days for accident or illness.

Pension: Employer will contribute an amount equal to 25% of the first 6% of wages contributed by the employee to the group RRSP.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee’s spouse, father, mother, stepparent, brother, sister, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent or grandchild. Additional 2 unpaid days available upon request.

Seniority – recall rights: 2 years.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay.

Probationary period: 90 days.

Safety shoes: $140 per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides gloves, winter parkas and reflective safety vests as necessary.

Warehouse: $19.26 per hour
Material handler: $19.58
Driver: $20.80
Maintenance: $20.80

Editor’s notes: Training: The employer will provide forklift training at least 2 times per year for 5 employees each time and for a minimum of 8 hours. Personal leave: Employees earn 1 unpaid personal day in every 3-month period.
