Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on Jan. 18, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1.4%
Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1.4%
Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.3%
Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.5%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for shifts commencing 2 p.m. or later, or prior to 6 a.m. 50¢ per hour for charge hands. 50¢ per hour for first aid attendant.
Paid holidays: 10 days plus 1 floater.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours worked beyond 8 per day, double time after that.
Sick leave: 10 days per year. Unused sick leave will be paid out in January of the following year at $110 per day.
Pension: Teamsters National Benefit Plan. Effective Jan. 1, 2016: $3.95 per hour. Effective Jan. 1, 2017: $4.05 per hour. Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $4.15 per hour. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $4.25 per hour. Effective Jan. 1, 2020: $4.35 per hour.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of employee’s parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, legal guardian.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. 18 months for employees with at least 5 years of seniority.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at overtime rate.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Safety shoes: $125 per year effective Jan. 1, 2016. Unused allowance may be carried over up to $250 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Any required uniform or clothing will be provided by employer.
