Renewal agreement: Effective May 16, 2021 to May 15, 2024. Ratified on July 5, 2021. Signed on July 5, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective May 16, 2021: 0%
Effective May 16, 2022: 2%
Effective May 16, 2023: 2.5%
Shift premium: $1.90 per hour for work on Saturday; $2.30 per hour for work on Sunday for every employee who is regularly scheduled to work on Saturday or Sunday. $1.10 per hour for all night hours worked (all hours worked after 4 p.m. in 1 day and before 6 a.m. in following day). $1.30 per hour for lead-hand.
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 80 hours after 1 year, 120 hours after 3 years, 160 hours after 10 years, 200 hours after 20 years, 240 hours after 30 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day; double time after 4 hours of overtime for every employee (other than office employee). Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day; double time after 4 hours of overtime for office employees. Time and one-half for work on Saturday; double time for work on Sunday, except for those regularly scheduled to work on Saturday or Sunday.
Vision: $250 (reimbursed at 80%) every 24 months and will include coverage for laser eye surgery.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of wife, husband, child, father, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law. 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, grandparents-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law. Time may be increased by up to 2 days when employee travel to funeral that occurs more than 350 kilometres away from Edmonton.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months or period equal to one-half of employee’s company seniority, maximum 3 years, whichever time period is greater, after layoffs. 30 months or more if employee has been continuously absent from work due to bona fide illness or disability resulting from accident.
Call-in pay: Time and one-half employee’s hourly rate or 4 hours’ work at employee’s hourly rate, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 520 hours of work within 6 consecutive months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for warnings or suspensions or disciplinary actions for any progressive discipline or any arbitration. After 2 years from date of any particular warning, suspension or other disciplinary action, discipline will be removed from employee’s file and will not be used in any progressive discipline or in any arbitration.
Severance: 2 weeks of pay multiplied by years of completed service, maximum 72 weeks, plus lump sum payment of $1,500 in consideration of residence relocation or re-education due to job loss.
Safety shoes: $185 (previously $175) per employee per year for safety boots from suppliers authorized by employer.
Uniforms/clothing: Inside employees who are regularly assigned to duties working outside plant building will be issued parka or bomber-style jacket, to be replaced on exchange basis when no longer serviceable but not more frequently than once every 4 years.

Editor’s notes: Education fund: Employer will contribute $0.015 per hour for all hours worked or paid to employees to Unifor, Local 350 education fund. On call: $7 for each hour employee is scheduled to be on call. In addition, employee will also be paid at time and one-half for all time actually worked by employee during period on call, provided minimum payment for time worked will be amount equal to 4 times employee’s regular hourly rate. Long service leave: 2 weeks of paid for long association with employer for each employee, who during life of agreement, completes 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th year of continuous employment with employer. Social justice fund: Employer will pay $0.01 per hour per employee for all compensated hours into Unifor social justice fund.
