Collective agreement: KSR International ULC

Renewal agreement: January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. 

Wage adjustments: 

2025: 9.9% 
2026: 2.5% 
2027: 2.4% 

Paid holidays: 13 days. 

Vacations with pay: 1 week to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 15 years, 5 weeks after 25 years. 

Overtime: Time-and-a-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 per day or 40 per week, and all hours worked on a Saturday or a statutory public holiday. Double time for all hours worked on a Sunday or on a floater day. 

Medical Benefits: Company pays 100% of Employer Health Tax and prescription drug plan for active employees. 

Dental: Company pays $0.51 per hour worked, up to 40 hours per week, for UFCW dental plan. 

Vision: $300 every 24 months plus eye exam every 24 months for employees and dependents. 

Long-term disability: Company pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 65% of wages until age 65. 

Life insurance: Company pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $55,000. 

Pension: Company contributes $1.23 per hour worked to Group RRSP plan for employees with at least 2 years of service. 

Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of parent, step-parent, spouse, child, step-child, sibling, grandparent, or grandchild. 3 paid days for death of parent-in-law, child-in-law, grandparent of spouse. 1 paid day for sibling-in-law, aunt, uncle, aunt or uncle of spouse, niece, or nephew. 
 
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 9 months for performance infractions. 6 months for improper time recording infractions. 

Probationary period: 640 working hours. 

Uniforms/clothing: $300 every 24 months for CSA-approved prescription safety glasses. 

Tool allowance: Up to $700 annually for employees with seniority in skilled trades classifications. 

Sample rates of pay:  

Skilled trades – millwright, T&D, electrician (licensed): $41.70 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $43.10 (2027). 
Operator and all other plant duties: $20 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $21 (2027). 
Lead Hand, material handler, quality inspector, set up and operate: $21.80 (2025) rising in 2 steps to $22.80 (2027).
