Renewal agreement: Effective June 21, 2016, to June 20, 2021. Signed on Jan. 7, 2016.
Shift premium: First-aid attendant: $0.30 per hour for employee holding first-aid certificate recognized under workers’ compensation board regulations. $0.75 per hour for hauling trains on road. $0.75 per hour for yard posting for company drivers. $1.50 per hour for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. when working on afternoon or night shift for company drivers. Delta-port premium (dependent contractors): $20 per trip. Wet-kit delivery (dependent contractors): $9 per hour. $4 per hour for dependent contractors for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. Dependent contractors will also receive $4 per hour for any work on Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 120 hours or 6% after 3 years, 160 hours or 8% after 9 years, 200 hour or 10% after 15 years, 240 hours or 12% after 21 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for any work after 8 hours per day. Double time after 2 hours of overtime. Double time for first 8 hours on Sunday. Triple time for the first 3 hours thereafter, quadruple time thereafter. May be banked, maximum 100 hours.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Teamsters’ National Benefit Plan and Medical Services Plan of B.C.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Teamsters’ National Pension Plan. Company will contribute amount for each company driver. Effective Aug. 31, 2016: $1 per hour; effective year 2: $1.10 per hour; effective year 3: $1.20 per hour; effective year 4: $1.45 per hour; effective year 5: $1.70 per hour. (Previously $0.75 per hour).
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepchildren, legal guardian, grandparents including spouse’s grandparents, grandchildren.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay. If working 4 hours, minimum 6 hours’ pay. If working 6 hours, minimum 8 hours’ pay.
Probationary period: 90 days, working 240 hours. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Safety shoes: $175 every 2 years.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Company drivers: $25.50
Dependent contractors: $57.50
Editor’s notes: Ferry trips: Employees who must ride ocean ferries with trucks and trailers on trips that exceed 8 hours (such as Port Hardy-Prince Rupert, Alaska ferries) will be compensated at straight time hourly rate for one-half total hours spent making trip. Licencing: Employee with 1 or more years of seniority, who is required under motor vehicle regulations to have physical examination as condition of continuing to hold valid licence, will receive maximum $175 (previously $40) for cost of examination. Dependent contractors other duties: When dependent contractors drive company trucks they will be paid $36 per hour. When dependent contractors ask company to drive company trucks they will be paid $25 per hour. Dependent contractors who participate in non-driving duties will be paid $36 per hour.
