Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2019. Signed on July 14, 2016.
Wage adjustments: 
All workers: $0.25 increase upon ratification
Effective Oct. 1, 2016: $0.25
Effective April 1, 2017: $0.25
Effective Oct. 1, 2017: $0.25
Effective April 1, 2018: $0.25
Effective Oct. 1, 2018: $0.25
Shift premium: Lead hand: $0.50. Midnight shift: $0.50.
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 4 float days, maximum 8 banked. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 44 hours per week. 
Medical benefits: Employer will make monthly contribution to the Service Employees International Union Local 1 and 2 Health and Welfare Benefit Trust Fund. Effective Oct. 1, 2016: $115, plus tax. Effective Oct. 1, 2017: $120, plus tax. Effective Oct. 1, 2018: $125, plus tax. 
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, child, stepchild, stepparent, mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, grandchild). 2 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law. 1 day for death of spouse’s grandparents, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Probationary period: 60 days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months.
Safety shoes: $100 every 2 years for anti-slip shoes. Additional $40 for workers who perform floor-finishing work (stripping, waxing).
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply 3 shirts or blouses, 2 pairs of pants or skirts, disposable gloves. Winter coat, gloves for employees who must work outside.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 10% increase):
Employees who receive benefits
Light duty cleaner: $12.10 rising 5 steps to $13.35
Heavy duty cleaner: $13.20 rising 5 steps to $14.45
Employees not in the benefit plan
Light duty cleaner: $12.40 rising 5 steps to $13.65
Heavy duty cleaner: $13.65 rising 5 steps to $14.90
Editor’s notes: Canadian citizenship: 1 day leave of absence with pay to obtain citizenship.
