Renewal agreement: Effective April 26, 2016, to March 31, 2019. Ratified on Aug. 10, 2017. Signed on Aug. 10, 2017.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for all time worked in canteen. $0.50 per hour for all time worked in guard’s lounge. $0.50 per hour for all hours worked while training or orienting new staff, maximum 3 days.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 17 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8, 10 or 12 hours, whichever is applicable. 
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 90% coverage for basic restorative. 90% coverage for periodontics and endodontics.
Vision: $225 every 24 months (previously $200 every 24 months). Eye exams: $50 (previously $35) in provinces where eye exams are not covered. 
Paramedical: Psychologist: $1,000 per year. Nutritionist/dietician: $400 per year. Chiropractor, naturopath, podiatrist or chiropodist, speech therapist, physiotherapy, osteopaths, massage therapy: $200 per year.
Sick leave: 4 days per year. 
STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 55% of weekly earnings, payable for 15 weeks.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, same-sex spouse, common-law spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandmother, grandmother-in-law, grandfather, grandfather-in-law, grandchildren). 2 additional days if family member lived outside province. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 2 additional days off without pay, if employee required to travel and cannot return same day.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Probationary period: 60 worked days. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months or 24 months for any case of substantiated breach of Alberta Justice.
Safety shoes: $0.05 per hour to purchase approved non-slip shoes.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides uniform, $0.60 per shift for maintenance of uniform. 
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after increase):
Cook supervisor: $16.61 rising 4 steps to $18
Cook assistant: $14.40 rising 4 steps to $16.50
General help: $13.23 rising 4 steps to $16
Editor’s notes: Annual-longevity bonus: $175 for employees who have 5 years of service; $300 for employees who have 10 years of service. Hearing aids: $500 every 5 years. Orthotics: $300 per year.
