Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2017. Signed on Dec. 3, 2015.

Wage adjustments:
Effective July 1, 2015: 1.91%
Effective July 1, 2016: 1.5%

Paid holidays: 15 days.

Vacations with pay: 12 hours per month of service to a maximum of 120 hours to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years and 5 weeks after 10 years.  

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.

Sick leave: 56 hours.

Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premium costs.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for the employee’s immediate family member. 1 day for the employee’s family member.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at time and one-half.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides uniforms. $800 per year for plainclothes officers.

Sample rates of pay (current, after 1.91% increase):
Patrol officer: $20.15 per hour rising in 11 steps to $26.44
Liaison officer: $20.15 rising in 11 steps to $26.44
Prevention officer: $20.15 rising in 11 steps to $26.44
Police investigator: $23.32 rising in 5 steps to $26.38
Police supervisor: $25.55 rising in 5 steps to $28.91

Editor’s notes: Marriage: 5 paid days for the employee’s marriage. 1 day for the marriage of the employee’s child, brother, sister, father or mother. Birth or adoption: 2 paid and 3 unpaid days. Shooting: Employees will participate in shooting training annually. Maternity leave: 17 weeks. Parental leave: 37 weeks.
