Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2017, to Feb. 28, 2021. Signed on March 21, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective March 1, 2017: 2%

Shift premium: $1 per hour for employee on any shift other than regular day shift (does not apply to aquatic-centre casual staff, guards, instructors). $1 per hour for working Saturdays, Sundays. $1.50 per hour dirt differential for dirty jobs (employees have right to refuse work when it involves asbestos exposure). Western Financial Place: $1 per hour for hours worked outside of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.; $1 per hour for hours worked on Saturday, Sunday between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.; $2 per hour for hours worked on Saturday, Sunday outside of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Jail supervisors: $1 per hour for hours worked outside of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday; $1 per hour for hours worked on Saturday, Sunday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.; $2 per hour for hours worked on Saturday, Sunday outside of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. $2 per hour, 2-hour minimum for any lifeguard/instructor 1, 2 or 3 who is qualified to instruct aquafit class and instructs class. $1 per hour for employee who works on shift requiring that they be on duty between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days. 
Vacations with pay: 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 2 years, 16 days after 4 years, 17 days after 5 years, 18 days after 7 years, 19 days after 9 years, 20 days after 10 years, 21 days after 12 years, 22 days after 14 years, 23 days after 15 years, 24 days after 16 days, 25 days after 18 years, 26 days after 20 years, 27 days after 21 years, 28 days after 24 years, 29 days after 27 years, 30 days after 30 years. 
Overtime: Schedule B employees: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day. Double time for all work after 11 hours per day Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for all work on Saturdays, double time after 8 hours of overtime. Double time for all work on Sundays. Schedule A employees: Time and one-half for all work after 7 hours per day. Double time for all work after 11 hours per day Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for all work on Saturdays, double time after 7 hours of overtime. Double time for all work on Sundays. May be taken as time off in lieu. May be banked, maximum 20 days per year. 
Meal allowance: Employer may provide transportation facilities to enable employee to obtain meal during overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of British Columbia.
Dental: 90% reimbursement for diagnostic/preventative, restorative, periodontics, dentures, bridges, crowns, endodontic. $5,000 maximum per year for dentures, bridges, crowns. 50% reimbursement for orthodontic, $3,500 lifetime maximum. 
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 80% reimbursement, maximum $500 every 24 months (previously $400 every 24 months).
Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 75% of gross earnings, $1,300 (previously $1,000) weekly maximum, for 26 weeks.
Sick leave: 10 days (will not accumulate and balance will be cancelled as of Dec. 31 of each year).
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage for 67% of annual salary, $5,000 monthly maximum based on 2-year own-occupation definition of disability. Employer will pay health allowance equal to 50% of premiums paid by employee for plan to employee.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $100,000.
Pension: Employees will be covered by superannuation or pension plan under Pension (Municipal) Act.
Bereavement leave: 1 average work week (schedule A: 35 working hours; schedule B: 40 working hours) for death in immediate family (, spouse, common-law spouse, common-law children, common-law parents-in-law, brother, sister, child, stepchild, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent-in-law, grandchild). One-half day to attend funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours at time and one-half or for time worked, whichever is greater (does not apply to aquatic-centre casual staff, guards, instructors). 
Probationary period: 680 hours for schedule B employees; 595 hours for schedule A employees.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay to start; 1 additional week’s pay per year of service, maximum 8 weeks’ pay. 
Safety shoes: $300 per year for safety footwear, except for aquatic workers. Additional $200 per year for employees who have footwear exposed to corrosive materials such as calcium chloride, salt mix, asphalt, concrete.
Tool allowance: $400 per year for mechanics, mechanic/welders.

Editor’s notes: Exhumation: In case of exhumation of body or of any human remains at cemetery, triple time will be paid to employee for digging out and opening old grave and removing remains.
