Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2017. Signed on Jan. 24, 2016. 
Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2015: 1.25% 
Effective April 1, 2016: 2%
Shift premium: Evening shift: $2.50 per hour for majority of hours between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Night shift: $4 per hour for majority of hours between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Weekend shift: $2.75 per hour for majority of hours between 6 p.m. Friday and midnight Sunday. Responsibility pay (in absence of supervisor): 4% per hour. Temporary substitute: $2 per hour minimum. Phlebotomy: 5% for employees who perform it inside patient homes. Northern premium: 2%. Additional qualification: $0.59 per hour for grandfathered employees.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: Regular/temporary workers: 1 hour for every 17.33 hours worked to start, 1 hour for every 13 hours worked after 2 years,  1 hour for every 10.4 hours worked after 12 years, 1 hour for every 8.7 hours worked after 25 years. Casual workers: 6% to start, 8% after 5 years (2 years for grandfathered workers), 10% after 10 years, 10% after 12 years for grandfathered employees. 5 additional days off on each of the employment anniversaries of 25, 30, 35, 40 years and 45 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first hour worked, double time thereafter. Overtime begins after 44 hours per week for regular work-day schedules, or 88 hours for modified work-day schedules.
Medical benefits: Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan: 75% paid by employer. 
Dental: 75% paid by employer.
Sick leave: 7.5 hours for every 112 hours worked, maximum 637.5 hours (maximum 659 hours for 7.75 hour per day workers; maximum 680 hours for 8 hour per day workers). 930 maximum accrual hours for grandfathered workers. 
STD: Paid by employee.
LTD: Paid by employee.
AD&D: 75% paid by employer.  
Life insurance: Group life: 75% paid by employer. 
Pension: Group RSP plan: Up to 4 years service, 3% contribution by employer, 5% by employee. 5 to 10 years service, 4% contribution by employer, 5% by employee. More than 10 years service, 5% contribution by employer, 5% by employee. 
Bereavement leave: 4 days with pay (spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, fiancée, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, legal guardian, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchildren, stepbrother and stepsister). 2 additional days for travel more than 320 kilometres. 5 days for grandfathered employees.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: Full-time/part-time: 975 hours worked. Casual: 375 hours worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Company will provide and launder protective clothing, when needed.
Mileage: $0.54 per kilometre for the first 5,000 kilometres; $0.48 per kilometre thereafter (CCRA guidelines). $400 maximum for additional business insurance coverage.

Editor’s notes: On call: $3 per hour on regular days, $4.25 per hour on days off and holidays. Take-a-break days: 10 shifts a year off without pay. Employee does not have to provide any reason for the request of a take-a-break day. Public office leave: 48 months. Family emergency: 4 days (31 hours for grandfathered employees).  Education leave: 5 days per year. Company pays for tuition, travel and subsistence costs. Lump sum: $1,000 for full-time and part-time, prorated for casual and temporary workers. Flexible spending account: $900 (prorated based on FTE) for taxable spending or health spending account. Union presentation: 45 minutes during probationary period to introduce the union.
