Provincewide, New Brunswick (150 general foremen, foremen, lead-hands, journeyman construction electricians, registered construction electrician apprentices) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 1555

Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2019. Signed on Jan. 1, 2018.
Shift premium: $3 per hour for foremen. $4 per hour for general foremen. $0.50 per hour for lead-hands.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 

Vacations with pay: 10% of gross earnings.
Overtime: Double time for all work outside specified hours. 
Meal allowance: $15 when more than 1 hour of overtime is being worked. If applicable, hot meals will be supplied at 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. At 4:30 a.m. adequate sandwiches and beverages (milk, hot coffee, tea) will be supplied.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours’ pay at prevailing rates. Employee on residential call-in will be paid time and one-half for first hour.
Safety shoes: Employees will provide own CSA-certified safety boots while on job. Boots may be purchased through employer at employer’s cost price.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees’ clothing burned or destroyed as result of accident while being worn by employee will be replaced by employer.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current):
Work A classification: $30.05
Work B classification: $28.70
Work C classification: $26.75
Commercial C: $38.04
Commercial B: $40.21
Commercial A: $42.07
Editor’s notes: Theft, fire insurance: Employer will provide theft insurance covering tools, maximum $500 per claim, with deductible of $15 per claim. Employer will provide fire-insurance policy covering all tools belonging to employees housed in shed and destroyed by fire. Room, board allowance: Employees on jobs located outside 50 kilometres from Moncton union centre and not commuting daily will receive (at employee’s option) room and board at $75 per day. When travellers are from another local, they will be paid $75 per day board.
