Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018, to Aug. 31, 2021. Ratified on March 1, 2019. Signed on March 1, 2019.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 7 years, 25 days after 17 years for 12-month employees. Vacation will be taken during Christmas Break, spring break and annual teachers’ convention for 10-month employees. Additional 5 days after 7 years, 17 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of school regular hours per day excluding incidental, unscheduled time of less than 15 minutes at end of work period, which is unpaid. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. Employer will contribute $500 per year (previously $300 per year) to health spending account.
Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Sick leave: 2 days per month, maximum 90 days accumulated.
Life insurance: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, legal guardian, wife, husband, child, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, aunt or uncle). 5 days if funeral is outside Alberta.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Mileage: Employees who travel using private vehicle to conduct board business can claim associated mileage expenses.
