Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2017, to July 31, 2020. Signed on Aug. 30, 2017.
Shift premium: $1.50 for second shift, $1.75 for third shift, when 2 shifts are working. $2.75 per hour for foreman. $1.25 per hour for lead-hands. $3 per hour for employee who maintains valid C-ticket and is qualified using employer-approved welding procedures.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 7% after 6 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 11 years, 5 weeks or 9% after 16 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 21 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 or 10 hours per day. Time and three-quarters for work after 40 hours per week on sixth and seventh shift worked.
Meal allowance: $10 in lieu of meal when employee works more than 2 hours beyond quitting time of regular shift, and every 4 hours thereafter if overtime is 6 hours or more. 
Dental: Employer pay 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. $2,000 annual maximum per person.
Vision: $80 per consecutive 24 months.
AD&D: Coverage of $50,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $30,000.
Pension: Employer will contribute $3 per hour worked (previously $3.50 per hour) to Boilermakers Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of death of wife, child, mother, father, stepparent, brother, sister. 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law. 1 day if employee is requested to serve as pallbearer for fellow employee
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months with less than 7 years of seniority; 12 months after 7 years of seniority. 
Probationary period: 90 days.
Safety shoes: $175 per year towards purchase of approved safety boots.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide coveralls, shoe coverings for employees doing spray painting. Leather sleeves, aprons will be provided for welders. Protective aprons will be made provided to radial-drill operators. Gloves, safety equipment will be supplied by employer.

Editor’s notes: Medical forms: Employer will pay maximum $25 per form — when related to ongoing company insurance claim and insurance company requires additional information — maximum $75 per year. Educational training fund: Employer will contribute $0.10 per regular hour worked by all employees to Calgary Educational Training Fund. Insurance: Personal affects of each employee in change rooms will be covered by fire and theft insurance, maximum $200. Prescription safety glasses: Maximum $300 every 24 months
